Short version: we only collect what we need to get you on a bike, and we never sell it.

Who we are

This site is operated by Shap Shap Bike Rentals (Pty) Ltd, Unit 5, The Arena, Capital Hill Commercial Estate, Le Roux Avenue, Halfway House, Midrand, 1685.

What we collect

When you apply, we collect the details you give us: your name, WhatsApp number, and, for rental applications, copies of your ID or passport, driver’s licence, proof of address, a recent bank statement, a selfie and proof of work.

How we use it

To process your application, manage your rental, service your bike, and contact you about your account.

What we never do

We never sell your personal information. We never share it with third parties except where required to run our business (e.g. payment processing) or by law.

POPIA

We process personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time.

Forms on this site open WhatsApp with a pre-filled message — nothing is stored on this website, and nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp.
